was born on Thursday, 17 April 1997 (age 25 years; as of 2022) in Khadot village of Chirawa tehsil in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, India. His zodiac sign is Aries. He studied at MG Public School in Jhunjhuno till the 5th standard. He played sports actively as he did not find his studies interesting. He played Kabaddi, Athletics, and competed in 20 km walking events, and occasionally in 600-meter races; however, in 2010, after he was inducted into the Army Sports Institute, his coaches recommended weightlifting to him after reviewing his body structure and muscle movements.

He trained at Army Sports Institute, Pune for 2-3 years under Subedar Rajender and trained at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala under senior coach Vijay Sharma and assistant coach Pramod Sharma. He participated in various local weightlifting tournaments in Jhunjhunu. He competed in the 8th National Youth Weighlifting Tournament in 2012 in the under 69 kg category and secured 5th position. In 20165, he participated in the 67th Men Senior National Weightlifting Championships held in Jaipur, Rajasthan and came in 4th place. He participated in the Commonwealth Junior Championship in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and in 2018, he secured 5th place in the 18th Asian Games. In the 2018 IWF World Championships, he came in 26th place and in the 2019 IWF World Championships, he came in 18th place. In 2020, he competed in the 6th International Solidarity Championships and came 4th. He won gold medals in the 2019 and 2021 Commonwealth Senior Championships. In 2021, he secured 13th position in the 2021 IWF World Championships and came 4th in the 22nd Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, UK.
