UPSC Announces Vacancies for Regular Medical Posts in Government Institutions

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the registration process for direct recruitment to fill regular medical posts in government-run medical institutions. This announcement follows a request from the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) to address the issue of ad-hoc appointments. The registration is ongoing on the official website, upsconline.nic.in, and will conclude on February 1, 2024.

FORDA Appreciates Prompt Action

FORDA expressed gratitude to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and UPSC officials for their prompt response. In a tweet, they acknowledged the UPSC vacancies and thanked the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and UPSC for addressing their concerns regarding rampant ad-hoc appointments.

Important Dates and Age Relaxation

  • Last date for application: February 1, 2024
  • Deadline for printing the filled application form: February 2, 2024
  • Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST and up to 3 years for OBC categories

Application Fee and Procedure

  • Candidates (except female, SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disability) need to pay a fee of Rs 25.
  • The UPSC online recruitment application is available on upsc.gov.in.
