IIFA Awards 2022 : From February 23, the industry can begin voting for their favourites online show/movie. 150 film nominations were received for the 22nd edition of IIFA Awards 2022. On May 20-21, 2022, the IIFA will fly to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi for big party. The

International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards announced their 12 nominations in the popular category on Friday, April 1. The 22nd edition will take place on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on May 20-21, 2022, after a two-year hiatus. 

The IIFA Awards are given annually, unlike 2020 but was postponed due to the covid19 pandemic; the awards are then announced via the IIFA Instagram account in November 2021. However, the IIFA Awards 2022 Nominations of the Nexa International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) was previously scheduled to take place on 19 March 2022, but it was recently confirmed following the press conference that IIFA 2022 will take place in Abu Dhabi in May 2022.

IIFA Awards 2022 Nominations

IIFA Awards 2022 Nominations: Shershaah, a Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani star, led the nominations with a place in all 12 categories, followed by 83 by Ranveer Singh and Ludo by Abhishek Bachchan with 9 and 6 nominations, respectively. Taapsee Pannu’s Thappad and Sara Ali Khan’s Arangi Re each received five nominations, while Kriti Sanon’s Mimi received four.

Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female & Male), Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Female & Male), Best Music Direction, Best Playback Singer (Female & Male), Best Story (Original & Adapted), and Best Lyrics round out the 12 Popular Categories.

IIFA Awards 2022 Hosts || who hosts IIFA

The IIFA Awards 2022 Nominations will be held at Yas Island’s cutting-edge indoor arena, the Etihad Arena. Salman Khan, a well-known Bollywood actor, will host the event. It will be an even bigger celebration as we mark the 75th anniversary of India’s independence and the 50th anniversary of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee,’ Salman said of IIFA 2022.

Salman Khan has previously hosted the show, and it will be interesting to see who joins him as a co-host this time. Some media reports that Riteish Deshmukh will co-host the show with Salman, and Varun Dhawan’s name is also outstanding as a co-host.

Although there is no update on the broadcast channel, we can expect the IIFA awards to air on any of these Sony TV channels, Star Plus, and Colors TV, as previous editions of the awards have also taken place on these channels. Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s NEXA stand has renewed its partnership with the IIFA as the main sponsor of the IIFA Awards for the sixth consecutive year. As the world anticipates this year’s celebration of Hindi cinema with music and fashion in yet another exotic locale, the content promises to be ambitious and entertaining.
